23 June 2014The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
R.M. Moran replaced M.P. Butler on Fast Exit, trained by Eoin Doyle (Race 5)(Injured)153A Martinstown Opportunity M'dn H'dle
D. Meyler, rider of Kelso Star trained by Hugh Paul Finegan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.
153B Easyfix Rubber Products M'dn H'dleThe Stewards requested a report from L. Young, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Brian's Express, placed first, as compared with its previous run at Downpatrick 15th June. Ken Hodgins, Authorised representative of L.Young, trainer, reported that their charge did not handle the track at Downpatrick on the previous run and furthermore the drop back to the minimum trip of two miles contributed to todays victory. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Cassells Rock, trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
M. Darcy, rider of Thefiddlerofduneen trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.
153E Hurley Family H'cap H'dleAndrew J.McNamara, rider of It's All An Act trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running and was pulled up.
S.A. Shortall, rider of Lord Baltimore trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running and was pulled up.
Adrian Murray, trainer of Lord Baltimore, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to have mucous on endoscopic examination post race.
153F Irish Stallion Farms EBF H'cap S'chaseThe Stewards requested a report from A.L.T.Moore, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Fever Pitch, placed first, as compared with its previous run at Punchestown 4th June. A.L.T. Moore, trainer, reported that his charge has not been the most consistent type and failed to handle the big field of runners the previous day at Punchestown in a more competitive race. He added that his charge was better suited to the smaller field of runners today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
D.E. Splaine, rider of A New Day trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.
Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for the last fence to be omitted from all circuits of this race.
The Stewards fined A.L.T.Moore, € 350 for failing to lodge a passport in respect of winning horse Fever Pitch, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(vi). Written assurance was given by or on behalf of the Trainer that the Passport would be forwarded to Horse Racing Ireland within the next 3 working days for verification with the markings and microchip number taken by the Turf Club Veterinary Officer.
153G Ladies Day July 18th Novice S'chaseMr P.J. Cawley, rider of Froggy trained by G.T.Lynch, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped and consequently pulled up his mount.
